LoHi Engagements & Denver Beer Co.

Mixing things up and doing things different is kind of what I live for. I never want my images to look the same as someone else’s and I’m always looking for ways to push the boundaries – when I met Trent and Jessica I knew I had an opportunity do just that. These guys are my kind of people and when I pitched a going to a brewery they were all for it. The people at Denver Beer Co. were nice enough to let us take some photos while drinking beer, and even let us into their barrel room (By the way, the beer is amazing). Everyone there was super nice actually, including one of the patrons we ran into who just so happened to have his old Hasselblad 6×6 view camera by his side! Needless to say, I spent time taking photos of his camera (see below).

After we were all nice and liquored up we headed up into LoHi, the idea being to booze a little more on a rooftop with a view, but everything was packed being a warm  Saturday evening in May. We wandered a while and these guys made my life easy by being beautiful and in love. Eventually I gave them leave to get dinner and we went our separate ways until later this month when I shoot their wedding (so excited!), but take a look at what we got. No offense to anyone else, but this was seriously one of my all-time-fave engagement sessions. I can only hope to have more like this.
